SourceI have practically abandoned the group I started, which is dedicated to SURVIVAL and the GROWING OF, or locating, or harvesting of wild foods, and for fun, the sharing of some recipes and 'how-to's'.
As a person who had been fairly new to the art of establishing a group, and moderating a group, I have had a bit to learn and after pondering it for a long time, here is the result of my pondering:
As this group is dedicated to SURVIVAL, now and in harder times, and is specifically oriented towards foods, including what would typically be called 'weeds', such as dandelions, no articles will be allowed within this group that do not adhere with the stated group ideals. It is not a political discussion, it is not a group in which to discuss all the issues about hunger, nor a place to discuss social services and the issuance of food assistance or not. It is not a place to argue, it is not a group where any topic or any article belongs and those articles need not be here. Any article about FOOD and FINDING IT is welcome, and other articles will be removed.
Persons that post articles in this group other than those which hold specifically to the ideals of FINDING, HARVESTING, PREPARING FOODS AND HERBS AND PLANTS FOR CONSUMPTION OR FOR HEALING, WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUP.
There will be no soliciting by any persons in this group: to do so in any manner will result in the immediate removal of membership from the group, so that we can help each other with the goal of the group: having better health and more natural foods, becoming more self sufficient, sharing what we know and learning from others and of course, the friendship and fun of enticing each others taste buds and minds with shared photos and recipes of personal culinary delights- as well as laughing together at our failures of those creations!
To those that have posted with the FOOD thoughts as a center of your article, I Thank you for holding to the groups subject matter and look forward to sharing more with each of you through the coming years!
