Hi Gloria,
My wife, Charlotte, has a true "Green-Thumb." She grows all sorts of things in planters as you wrote about, and the truth is we are covered-up with plants, planters, and all sorts of greenery the year around. Now that it's getting colder she has already brought in the plants that can't survive the cold inside.
We have a "Chihuahua" on-lap that we call the "Velcro-Dog," because he only knows how to stick close!
Blessed with lots of green. The house is always alive with flowers, plants, and planters in every conceivable color.

Hi, Charlie!! Good to see you! I like " Velcro-Dog"!! We have two cats, and they really don't lap sit a lot, but both of them have figured out that if I am at the computer, I probably won't be standing up, getting coffee, dadada..... stuff, so they calculate it is a good place to get their lap time in! I almost hate to deny them, as they really don't get a lot of personal attention time- our dog, Jake has taken most of it!! He is a TOTAL HAM. He likes to be touching all the time, too, or at least close.
